December Up-date

You often see the white packing 'wotsits' but I found coloured ones. My cat likes them (and the white ones!) I get them in abundance from Craft Creations.........

My cat doesn't need a gift at Christmas, she only likes boxes!

One day, in the not too distant future, I might be able to post pictures of the cards I make but with work and facebook! there never seems time!

Friday 23 November 2012

I saw this picture on facebook and thought I might share it with you. I love cats but am wondering whether my son is allergic to them. He has an allergy test in January. If this is the case, then I will help my son pack his belongings when he finds his new flat!

This is the cat in question, evidently Taz did not want me to go out this particular day!

A lovely sunset and the moon was in view also.

And totally the opposite is this view from the kitchen window again but this time it was raining (very hard)!  It also looks like a tornado out to sea but it was just a trickle of rain runniong down the glass. I managed to fool a few at work with this picture.

I have made loads of Christmas cards and ATC's but due to lack of time have not been able to take pictures of them. At least I have made them before December, unlike last year when I had to buy some!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday 21 October 2012

I made this card and ATC for a swap friend last week for her birthday. I used the free papers in Making Cards. It's pretty basic but as usual time is at a premium.

This picture was taken when it was very windy this week, hence the waves. It was not long after I got up as it was still a bit dark, and therefore a work day when I get up at 5.45 a.m.

A 'friend' of mine in Brighton sent me a birthday card. As you all know my birthday is at the end of August but the card asking for £1.50 did not arrive until 15th October. The stamp I have to admit is a bit dog-eared and after comtemplating whether to pay or not, I decided I would in case it was anything important.
You will not be able to see from the picture but there a series of pink vertical lines across the stamp and not on the envelope, so my friend had used a second-hand stamp! I rang Royal Mail to complain about the length of time it had taken for the fee2pay card to be delivered to me. He could not answer that and did not comment when I asked what Sucharge meant! All he said was it's surcharge but it's spelt incorrectly I told him.  He did not answer.

Learning Curve - In future I am not going to pay for fee2pay items.

Saturday 6 October 2012

I saw this creepy at work the other day, it flew from here to the wall and was like a moth in flight. Stationary, it looks more like a stick insect (I used to keep stick insects as pets!). I left it where it was and next time I went into the medication room, it was gone. We keep the window open all the time, even in the middle of winter, to keep the meds cool and the staff frozen! In case you are wondering, there are security bars on the open window which doesn't help the heat retention!!!!

I did some baking last week, the large pies were steak and kidney which my son loves, he likes the jam tarts also. Regrettably I ate some of it and I didn't use gluten free flour. I'm better now!

I thought you would like to see the cross stitch cushion I made a little while ago. I loved stitching this as I love pansies and was rather sad when it was finished.

Sunset over Brighton.

Cross Stitch

Here are some of the cross stitch I have done.

My name is Hazel. I love making cards and ATC's in all aspects of craft and enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch, embroidery etc.

I have a cat called Taz who likes looking at the sea! I also have a son who likes looking at his computer screen.

This is my latest card, which was made for the Craft Creations Fun Challenge, the topper was from Tracey's collection.
